Navigating the Wiki

At first glance, the Wiki looks very complicated. In reality, it is quite simple. You will find that you will not use most of the Wiki's functions. This help section is to assist you with getting familar with the Wiki, and to help you navigate it.

This is the main page, or FrontPage. Here is the main page broken down into sections:

1. The VIEW/EDIT Tabs

• The "VIEW"tab should be selected when you are reading the Wiki. Click on the "EDIT" tab to edit the current Wiki page that you are on.

2. Help

• This is the link to the "Help" page. This page contains information on how to use and edit the Wiki. Feel free to leave comments and ask questions in this section.

3. The KALA Libraries

• Here are the links to the each KALA library's individual page.

4. Important Announcements

• This is where annoucements and events regarding all members of KALA will be posted.

5. Calendar

• This calendar is for all members of KALA to post their events in. Everyone can then easilly see upcoming events at a glance. For instructions on using the calendar, see the calendar help page.

6. The Right-Hand Navigation Bar

• This section of the page simply contains: Information regarding the Wiki, Wiki settings, links to create pages and upload files, and has a search feature. Typically, you can ignore this bar. In fact, you may hide this area by clicking on the arrow at the top (just left of "Create a page").

Other Wiki Parts

The Link Bar:

• The Link Bar is located at the top of every page. This allows you to quickly access and navigate the different pages of the Wiki.

The "Home" Button:

• The "home" button is located at the top-left corner of the page. Clicking this button brings you to the "Frontpage".

The Comment Box:

• The Comment Box located at the bottem of each Wiki page. It is used to add comments or ask questions regarding the page. For example, on the help page, you could ask a question if you need assistance with the Wiki. Also, you could ask questions about events.
